Candlestick Charts and Timeframes

Read open, high, low and close values and compare 1-minute, 5-minute and 10-minute candles.

Understand the idea.

Each candlestick summarises the open, high, low and close over its selected interval. A one-minute candle shows a shorter slice of price activity than a ten-minute candle. Changing the timeframe changes the aggregation, not the instrument. Small intervals can make ordinary noise appear dramatic; longer intervals can hide moves that matter to a short trade. In the terminal, compare 1m, 5m and 10m on the same symbol, then examine volume and the wider context. SMA20 and EMA20 are summaries of recent prices, not predictions. Do not treat one candle colour or one moving-average crossing as proof of a future move.
